Who is this program for? Anyone working on the frontlines (healthcare providers, retail and foodservice workers, delivery drivers, etc) of the Covid-10 pandemic in WNC and experiencing significant stress and feelings of overwhelm, including but not limited to panic, intense feelings of fear, burnout, loss of motivation, feelings of desperation, anger, irritability and more!
What does this program offer? Immediate access to a licensed, highly trained and experienced coach who can offer support and recommendations customized to your situation, experience, needs and symptoms. This service is not psycho-therapy and you are not mentally ill! You are likely experiencing a severe stress response that is a normal and important physiologically response to over-exposure to high stress events and environments and/or trauma. This program is designed to provide access to support when you need it! I will provide skills to immediately address symptoms as well as recommendations for ongoing management and resources for any needed follow-up. There is no setting up and waiting on an initial appointment, verifying insurance benefits, etc. What’s more this service is offered at no cost to you during the pandemic crisis.
Why am I offering this service? I feel I have a unique set of skills based on my experience as a professional counselor, training in Red Cross disaster mental health service delivery and long-term meditation and yoga practice. I have extensive practical experience with techniques and tools that can be effectively utilized to address these symptoms. Moreover, I’m 100% committed to finding the most effective way to be of service to others in this time of crisis.
When is this program available? Between the hours of 7am and 9pm, Monday to Sunday. The goal of the program is to have a response window from immediately to 2 hours. Please know that I do continue to provide traditional therapy to clients, need time for self-care and sleep and could have a large volume of calls at one time. Based on demand, I will work to scale up the program, enlisting the help of additional, highly qualified therapists, in order to maintain the integrity of the program.
How do I access this program? Simply text – “support,” your name, and whether you prefer an audio or video call (example – support, Jane Doe, audio) to 828-707-5376. By accessing the service, you do agree to the terms of service and acknowledge you have read and understand them. Plan on about a 20 minute phone call and 1-2, 10-15 minute follow up calls as needed.
Resiliency coaching program terms of service and acknowledgement:
I understand that this program/service is not traditional psychotherapy. It is a no cost, short-term, targeted intervention meant to address the multitude of symptoms, physiological and psychological, that accompany living and working during the Covid-19 pandemic crisis.
I agree to consider/follow, as appropriate, recommendations made for services or resources identified but not offered in the program.
I understand that the primary goal of this program is to deliver immediate support and, although every effort will be made, the service may not afford the levels of confidentiality that more traditional counseling services offer.
I agree, whenever it is appropriate and I am able, to assist others in developing better resiliency skills to address their severe stress and feelings of overwhelm. We’re all in this together!
